This weeks photo challenge is entitles “Contrasts“.
This picture was taken at “Trail 1” in San Onofre. A few weeks before hand there was a massive fire around this area due to a massive drought the region has been going through.
The blue perfect ocean in the background and the burned in the foreground make for a perfect contrast.
As terrible this scene of burned land is, I couldn’t think how beautiful this contrast was.
Your trees are bleeding in the same colour as my dunes. Amazing how the nature can have such intense colours. I hope you will love it. http://myenz.com/2014/06/29/contrast-in-nature/
Very cool shot indeed Erwin! It is true that the the dunes and trees have a similar colour.

Good shot, Nathalie . And a wise choice for this challenge.
Thank you Stefano.
That’s incredible, the color within the branch after the fire. Great capture 🙂
Thank you! Yes the colour contrast is pretty impressive.
This is a great picture Dot! Did it burn?
Not while I was there. But the week before.
Beautiful contrast indeed. Reminds me that though at times we feel burned and worn out, there is hope that something beautiful awaits.
Very nice analogy. Thank you.
