One of my favourite coffee shop in the OC offers a beautiful lavender latter. A few weeks back I received a bunch of fresh lavender. I have been drying it over the last few weeks and decided to make my own one.
Makes: 100g of lavender tea
Difficulty: Easy
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 100 g Orange Peacoe Tea
- 1 Bunch of dried lavender
- 250 ml Almond Milk
- 250 ml Water
- 1 tsp Honey
Method:
First prepare your loose tea. Use your Oran Pecoe tea (or any other black tea; you could also try this with a green tea). Pour it in a bowl. Pluck the lavender branches and mix them to the tea. You can prepare your tea immediately, but I recommend to let it rest for a week or so, in order to have the lavender take over the tea taste and smell.
Once your lavender tea is ready for use, prepare your lavender tea latte:
Pour the water in a bowl and bring it to a boil. Then add 2 tsp lavender tea. Infuse it for 3 minutes on low heat.
Add the almond milk (or any other milk) and the honey. Bring again to a boil. Turn off the stove. Let the tea infuse for another 5-6 minutes.
Sit down. Relax. Enjoy.
